Schedule Request Form Now Available
Coaches may now submit schedule requests electronically. Even if you have previously emailed the Age Group Commissioner or the scheduler, this form is the best way to ensure your request will be considered.
All requests will be forwarded to the game scheduler who will make every attempt to honor all coach requests. However, no request is guaranteed.
Practice Program Sign-ups Suspended
The weekday practice program at the HOT Complex has suspended sign-ups to allow the facility managers to take inventory of the space available.
We have had tremendous support of the program and want to ensure that every team that wishes to participate can do so.
More information will be made available as we have it.
Changes to Unrostered Player Registration
At their monthly meeting on August 1, 2011, the Board of Directors voted to modify the current policy to allow non-rostered players to pay $25 to register. The revised policy allows players on a US Club team (U7-U10) who wish to register and play recreational league soccer to register as regular recreational players ($75 + Fundraiser). For those players that do not wish to play recreational league soccer, but wish to be on a USYSA Academy roster, they may register for $25 and will be non-rostered.
Roster fee will remain at $10 each.
NTSSA Rule Changes
On July 10, 2011, attendees to the Annual General Meeting of the North Texas State Soccer Association voted to approve many changes to the Bylaws and tournament rules.
Coaches no longer responsible for game reports
Beginning with the Fall 2011 season, Heart of Texas Soccer will not require coaches to complete the game report before each game. Instead, game officials will bring game reports to the field—preprinted with the names of rostered players and rostered coaches.
This change reflects HOT Soccer's ongoing effort to streamline our processes so that coaches spend more time coaching and less time administrating. It is our belief that these seemingly small details will have a greater combined impact on day to day morale of our valued coaches.
Q&A
Q: How do I become a coach?
A: Create a coach account by clicking the REGISTER NOW link at hotsoccer.net. Select "coach" as the Account Type and enter all requested information. Next, log-in to your account and complete the Risk Management portion of the account. When a successful response is returned (usually 2 or 3 minutes), email the Age Group Commissioner your desire to volunteer with HOT Soccer. Age Group Commissioners assign coaches as needed, so work with them first.
All coaches must be licensed. Sign-up HERE for the next clinics.
